A contemporary resonance in the Haussmannian setting.
In this residential project in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, Arnaud Cabri-Wiltzer's intervention finds its anchor in the dialogue between heritage and formal radicalism. The apartment, typical of Haussmannian architecture with its chiseled moldings, floral stained-glass windows, and original parquet flooring, serves as a backdrop for a visual narrative full of contrasts.
In the dining room, the warmth of carved wood, Arts & Crafts-inspired wallpaper patterns, and the elegance of a mirror over the fireplace interact with a table with a biomorphic silhouette, inspired by industrial elements and made of raw metal. Around it, modest, almost rustic chairs replay the tension between high tradition and minimalist functionality.
The living room, meanwhile, opts for radical sobriety. The classic decorative elements of the walls are complemented by sculptural furniture, all curves and mineral materials: glass, marble, bouclé wool. A form of visual silence, orchestrated around a refined formal vocabulary.
Among all these choices, a feeling of softness prevails. Thanks to the light, the generosity of the volumes, and the balance of textures, this project tells a deeply welcoming story—that of a place inhabited with simplicity and warmth.
