Echoes of the Eye
Vision of two collectors
From November 8 to December 4, 2024.
5 Cité Rougemont, 75009 Paris.
Curated by Olympia Napoléon and Arnaud Cabri-Wiltzer.
With the collaboration of Léna-Valentine Reigniez, Noam M.Elcott and Patrice Guillou.
Faced with modern and contemporary art, the eye no longer thinks: it resonates.
It fills with the echoes of light - the eye vibrates.
In this context, the exhibition Echoes of The Eye offers a
new visual escape. It presents a collage of creations
in space and time. This device brings out aesthetic dialogues, formal rhymes, graphic tensions: the works and the eras respond to each other.
The eye is thus invited on a journey during which it will encounter photographs, films, paintings and sculptures by major creators such as
Kurt Schwitters and David Hockney, Man Ray or Cindy Sherman,
Francis Bruguière, Jean Arp and Tarik Kiswanson.
As the visitor moves, he discovers viewpoints which
constantly renew. His eye identifies correspondences,
reflections and unexpected exchanges.
It welcomes visions that only the echoes between talents can
create.
